I'm sorry, I woke up this morning and it hit me that I hadn't written on my blog for ages.....yes ages. So life has been going on as usual. Cruise ships, holidays trip to LA and panto business. Most years take the same pattern. The only difference was that this year I had to write a humorous book for the 'Weebook company' It has been a lot of fun coming up with the format and working closely with my publisher (always wanted to say that) to put it altogether. I came up with the idea of Aunty May's problem page with spoof comedy letters which she answers straight from the heart. Then Susan said it would be nice to have it illustrated. So we looked at some artistes and I didn't feel they were quite right. So I said I want them to look like doodles.....like this (sent my rough drawing) and she said that's it. You do the doodles. I said I cant draw. She said well I think you can. So......over the summer I brushed up on my drawing techniques (last used in school) and I've illustrated it as well. Also Aunty May has some 'musings' about life throughout the book. She's a very knowledgeable lady you know. So that means that 'Dear Aunty May' will be in the Kings foyer and in all good book shops for December. The panto is back on track with Andy back in harness this year. It will be fantastic to have him back again. Jordan from River City also joins us this year. Can't wait. Right that's you up to date. (Gavin Docherty hope you are happy now) speak to you all soon.....yeh right
